On Tuesday Jayse Alvarado struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and not a single walk). The effort marked the most strikeouts Alvarado has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks.
