Northside Christian and Canterbury squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northside Christian had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Northside Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JD Howard, who went 1-for-4 with one run. Ashton Cox was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Northside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Canterbury, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

While Northside Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
