Roosevelt came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Spearfish Spartans by a score of 9-6. Nine seems to be a good number for the Rough Riders as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Desiree Hinsch made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Vanessa Kiggins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Kaylie Drew was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spearfish only posted an OBP of .364.

Roosevelt's record is now 10-12. As for Spearfish, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Roosevelt has already played their next contest (against Rapid City Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Spearfish, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-0 loss against Brandon Valley on the 23rd.
