Soccer Recap: KIPP San Jose Collegiate Comes Up Short

The matchup between KIPP San Jose Collegiate and Summit Tahoma on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack came up short against the Summit Tahoma Tigers, falling 6-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Juan Vazquez and Jayden Hernandez scored both of KIPP San Jose Collegiate's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Summit Tahoma, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.

Coincidentally, KIPP San Jose Collegiate and Summit Tahoma will both be playing Latino College Preparatory Academy the next time they take the pitch. Summit Tahoma will host Latino College Preparatory Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while KIPP San Jose Collegiate will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
