Football Recap: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. Oak Ridge Trojans
Del Oro had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 25-24 victory over the Oak Ridge Trojans. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Delaney Osborne had a dynamite game for Del Oro, throwing for 233 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.5% of her passes. Osborne is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in the last four games she's played. A healthy portion of Osborne's aerial production (88 yards to be exact) went to Fallon Strohm.
Del Oro's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Oak Ridge, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5.
