Basketball Recap: Ascend Leadership Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ascend Leadership lost against Neuse Charter back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aviators had to suffer through a 74-43 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The Aviators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-20.

Neuse Charter was led to victory by Klayton Tew and Jeremiah Edwards. Tew dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards, while Edwards posted 27 points and five rebounds. Those 24 points gave Tew a new career-high. Nate Buck was another key player, putting up eight points.

Ascend Leadership's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Ascend Leadership will head out on the road to challenge Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Neuse Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Friendship Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
