Volleyball Recap: Mililani Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kealananea Stephens and Kadence Wilson

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mililani can now relate to. They fell just short of the Kamehameha Hawai'i Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

Kadence Wilson and Kealananea Stephens certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wilson had 16 digs and two assists, while Stephens had 20 assists and seven digs. Stephens is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Rylyn Kaopuiki-Kaikaina was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Mililani's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Kamehameha Hawai'i, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Mililani nor Kamehameha Hawai'i have any future games scheduled.
