Softball Recap: Chippewa Hills Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Chippewa Hills let Hesperia stack four runs on them in the fourth inning on Thursday but luckily Chippewa Hills prevailed anyway. The Warriors skirted past the Panthers 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Erin Riesenberg, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since May 5th. Another player making a difference was Hunter Howard, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chippewa Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.

Chippewa Hills' victory bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Hesperia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Chippewa Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
