Basketball Recap: Browne's Win Ends 16-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Browne). They walked away with a 38-25 win over the Camelback Spartans on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Spartans back in January, they had to take a 39-37 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Camelback lost, don't look at Deja Francisco. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Francisco a new career-high in steals (three).

Browne's victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14. As for Camelback, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Browne and Camelback could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Browne will square off against Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 237 places (287 vs. 50). Browne is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Camelback (ranked 269th) will meet South Mountain (ranked 131st) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
