Basketball Recap: Lowell's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Highland came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Lowell, but Braydon Cox wouldn't allow it. The Lowell Red Devils blew past the Highland Trojans 53-30 on Saturday thanks in part to Cox, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Brody Carter was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Lowell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Highland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowell will welcome Merrillville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowell is facing Merrillville at the right time seeing as Merrillville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Highland, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Munster at 7:00 p.m.
