Recap: Coweta Tigers vs. Memorial Chargers
If the Coweta Tigers were riding high off their 79-54 takedown of the Durant Lions last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Coweta received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 55-39 to Memorial. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coweta in their matchups with Memorial: they've now lost three in a row.
Memorial was led to victory by Jalil Cotton and Antonio Love. Cotton scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds, while Love scored 15 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cotton has scored at least 25% of Memorial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Harris, who scored 9 points.
Coweta's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Memorial, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Coweta will stay at home for another game and welcome Mustang at 2:30 p.m. on December 7th. One thing working in Mustang's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Memorial is on the road again on Thursday and play against Newcastle at 4:00 p.m. on December 7th.
