Volleyball Recap: Jacey Wilsie Key Part of Team Effort in Chiefs Win

Santa Fe posted their closest victory since October 8, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Stover Bulldogs 2-1. This was payback for the Chiefs, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Santa Fe who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-27, 25-17.

Santa Fe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacey Wilsie, who had nine digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Mia Lark, who had 11 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Santa Fe was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stover didn't served any aces.

Santa Fe's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Stover, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Santa Fe has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Green Ridge on the 10th. As for Stover, they will host Russellville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
