Sanger gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Dinuba Emperors as they made off with a 36-13 win. Given the Apaches' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Emperors are ranked 374th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kendale McGrew was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 106 yards and one score on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sanger was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in nine consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
