Soccer Game Preview: Steele vs. Magnificat

The Steele Comets will take on the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steele's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Steele's win against Midview wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets never let the Middies get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Steele's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Midview are ranked 315th).

Steele's one-goal win came courtesy of Paige Miller, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Magnificat fell victim to St. Ursula Academy and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arrows.

Magnificat's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-6. As for Steele, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-3.
