Volleyball Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Mooresville Blue Devils

The Community School of Davidson Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Mooresville Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Community School of Davidson took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on West Mecklenburg with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Community School of Davidson walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-23, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Mooresville made easy work of Langtree Charter Academy on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Mooresville was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-17.

Mooresville's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Community School of Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Community School of Davidson took their win against Mooresville in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
