Baseball Recap: Rossford Comes Up Short

Rossford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Maumee Panthers, falling 22-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rossford's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Maumee, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Rossford will challenge Swanton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Swanton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Rossford's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Maumee, they will take on Oak Harbor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
