Soccer Game Preview: Prairie Ridge vs. Central

The Prairie Ridge Wolves are taking a road trip to take on the Central Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Prairie Ridge took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Dundee-Crown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Wolves' defense stepped up to hand the Chargers a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. That's two games straight that Prairie Ridge have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ava Gertz, who's now up to 13 this season.

Meanwhile, Central entered their tilt with Belvidere North on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Blue Thunder.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Prairie Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-3.

Prairie Ridge might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
