Basketball Game Preview: Temple Tigers vs. Model Blue Devils

Temple is 0-6 against Model since February of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Temple Tigers will challenge the Model Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Temple was fully in charge, breezing past Haralson County 63-24. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Rebels are ranked 449th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Model, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pepperell 62-10.

Model is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Temple, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Temple came up short against Model in their previous matchup back in January, falling 45-39. Can Temple avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
