Softball Recap: Moore Haven Takes Down Fort Meade in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Moore Haven had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Fort Meade Miners by a score of 10-7 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Terriers.

Charisma Micco made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Moore Haven let Camryn Prowant and Khloe Desroche run wild. Prowant got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base, while Desroche went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those three runs gave Prowant a new career-high.

Moore Haven's record now sits at 14-7. As for Fort Meade, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

As of now, neither Moore Haven nor the Miners have any future games scheduled.
