Softball Recap: Hutsonville/Palestine Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oblong on Monday, Hutsonville/Palestine came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the St. Anthony Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 17-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Brynn Griffin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Hutsonville/Palestine's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. Anthony, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hutsonville/Palestine will face off against Grayville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season. As for St. Anthony, they will challenge Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
