The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will venture away from home to face off against the Morgan Township Cherokees at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Kouts is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

While Kouts' win against Delphi Community wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs & Fillies had just enough and edged out the Oracles 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs & Fillies.

Kouts' victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Billy Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Morgan Township came up short against Mooresville on Saturday and fell 7-4. The Cherokees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kouts' win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Morgan Township, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Kouts couldn't quite get it done against Morgan Township in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can the Mustangs & Fillies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
