The Kelvyn Park Panthers typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the Chicago Academy Cougars proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers and snuck past 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Isaiah Cortez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chicago Academy's points. Kyle Orta was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.

The victory makes it two in a row for Chicago Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Kelvyn Park, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4.
