Soccer Game Preview: Anderson vs. Cedar Creek

The Anderson Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Cedar Creek Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.

Anderson's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Crockett 8-0. Considering the Trojans have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Cedar Creek hadn't done well against Bastrop recently (they were 1-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Cedar Creek had just enough and edged out Bastrop 3-2. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one goal.

Anderson's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six matches. As for Cedar Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Everything went Anderson's way against Cedar Creek in their previous meeting back in January, as Anderson made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anderson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
