Football Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hinkley last Thursday, Lutheran came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Holy Family Tigers by a score of 45-42 on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lutheran's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Holy Family, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Lutheran will welcome Littleton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against Hinkley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.13 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
