Colby was the 3-1 winner over Loyal when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greyhounds on Thursday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Daelyn Rieck paced Colby's offense, picking up 28 kills. Rieck got some help from Zoe Kaiser and her 22 assists. Rieck was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
