Woodsboro waltzed into their matchup on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Refugio Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 back in March.

Woodsboro pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Refugio, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Woodsboro will challenge rival Skidmore-Tynan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2, the Bobcats 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Refugio is set to square off against their familiar foe Kenedy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
