Basketball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Booker T. Washington Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-31 back in December of 2025.

Booker T. Washington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniya Lee led the charge by putting up eight points and five steals. Lee has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 4-9 otherwise. Shakira Shaw was another key player, going 5-for-9 on her way to 12 points.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Booker T. Washington, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Looking ahead, Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bluff City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Manassas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
