Volleyball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Andrew Jackson Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Holly Hill Academy Raiders with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Andrew Jackson Academy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

McKinnley Beard went supernova, getting 18 kills, five digs, and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 21 games she's played dating back to last season. Carrigan Moore was another key player, getting seven aces.

Coincidentally, Andrew Jackson Academy and Holly Hill Academy will both be playing Dorchester Academy the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
