Volleyball Recap: South Iredell Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

South Iredell and Providence squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South Iredell had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Panthers. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-19 in the first set.

South Iredell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 26-24, 25-23.

South Iredell now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Providence, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

As of now, neither South Iredell nor Providence have any future games scheduled.
