Basketball Recap: Switzerland County Comes Up Short

Switzerland County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarksville Generals. The Pacers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Generals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Switzerland County lost, don't look at Corbin Craig. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. That was a full 46.2% of the Pacers' points, marking the third time in a row Craig has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nate Williams, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 14 points and five assists.

Switzerland County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clarksville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Switzerland County will welcome Rising Sun at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Pacers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Clarksville, they have already played their next contest, a 63-57 loss against Crawford County on the 6th.
