Soccer Game Preview: McDowell vs. Freedom + How To Watch

McDowell hasn't had much luck against Freedom recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Titans will look to defend their home pitch against the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

McDowell managed to keep up with Watauga until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Titans lost 3-0 to the Pioneers. While losing is never fun, McDowell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Watauga are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Freedom's offense. They came up short against Alexander Central on Wednesday, falling 5-0. Freedom have struggled against Alexander Central recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for McDowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-3.

McDowell took their victory against Freedom in their previous meeting on October 8th by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
