Softball Recap: Olivia Shelton Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat North Adams

While Eastern's win against North Adams wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Green Devils a 1-0 shutout on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Green Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Not much got past Allie Grooms, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep North Adams off the board. Grooms has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eastern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Shelton, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Chloe Hauck also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
