Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. Edward, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16.

St. Edward found their leader in sophomore Cutler Brauer, who had 13 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Brauer.

St. Edward's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Edward will welcome Elgin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Islamic Foundation at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
