The Fremont Eagles will face off against the New Haven Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Fremont is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Fairfield just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Falcons. The Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Falcons' pitchers proved too tough.

Jonah Pentecost made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Taylor Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, New Haven got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They skirted past Columbia City 8-7. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 4, 2019.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for New Haven, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
