Football Recap: Littleton Lions vs. Standley Lake Gators

Littleton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were outmatched by the Standley Lake Gators and fell 56-0. The Lions lost against the Gators in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 7-0 score last time.

Kai Durica threw for 50 yards on six of 20 attempts. Sam Bayers was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards.

As for Standley Lake, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jaden Epps and Achillez Zepeda. Epps rushed for 139 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries while Zepeda rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Evan Seiffert was in the mix as well, providing Standley Lake with two TDs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littleton will host Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Standley Lake, they will be playing at home against Hinkley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gators will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
