Last Friday, Locust Grove was beaten by Jones County 62-20. Locust Grove has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Union Grove put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Hillgrove by a score of 45-34.
Union Grove had a senior duo take command as Nadea Smith scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and Jordan Brooks scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Smith's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Mariah Miller was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Locust Grove has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Union Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
