Soccer Game Preview: West Campus vs. Foothill

The West Campus Warriors will face off against the Foothill Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Campus will be strutting in after a win while Foothill will be coming in after a loss.

West Campus took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Florin onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Warriors were the better team in the second half.

Richard Guido and Charles Mitchell scored both of West Campus' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Foothill was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Valley, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 947th, while the Vikings are ranked 81st).

West Campus now has a winning record of 4-3-5. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-4.

Everything went West Campus' way against Foothill in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as West Campus made off with a 5-0 win. Does West Campus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Foothill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
