Softball Recap: Thayer's Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Friday just wasn't the day for Thayer's offense. They came up short against the Kennett Indians on Friday, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bobcats, who until this matchup were averaging 4.1 runs allowed.

Thayer's loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2. As for Kennett, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Coincidentally, Thayer and Kennett will both be playing Clearwater the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will head out to face the Fightin' Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
