Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline and Athens Bible squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Skyline had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-2. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Athens Bible, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-11.

Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Athens Bible, they will challenge Hubbertville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
