Softball Preview: Coastal Academy Stingrays vs. Vista Panthers

The Coastal Academy Stingrays will head out on the road to challenge the Vista Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Coastal Academy, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Coastal Academy finally turned things around against La Jolla Country Day on Monday. Coastal Academy put the hurt on La Jolla Country Day with a sharp 14-4 win.

Kailee Tran made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Tran was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Coastal Academy got a massive performance out of Aubrey Price, who went 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Ava Alvarez was another key contributor, firing off four runs, four doubles, and two RBI while going 4-for-4.
