It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Arroyo can now relate to. They fell just short of the San Leandro Pirates by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Dons' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Sadie Fernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bella Marquez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Arroyo's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for San Leandro, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-7.

Arroyo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Leandro, they will square off against Maria Carrillo at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
