Volleyball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Wilkes-Barre's Ninth in Last 12 Outings

Wilkes-Barre's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wyoming Valley West Spartans.

Wilkes-Barre had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.

Jordany Rodriguez had another great game (as he tends to do), getting 23 digs, 12 kills, three aces, and one block. He has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 14 times he's played. Tijan Njai was another key player, getting 27 assists and eight digs.

Wilkes-Barre has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10-2 record this season. As for Wyoming Valley West, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
