Recap: Central Dauphin East Panthers vs. Central Dauphin Rams
The Central Dauphin East Panthers's game on Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Dauphin. While losing is never fun, Central Dauphin East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Central Dauphin is ranked 46th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central Dauphin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wayne Fletcher II, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Fletcher II pulled down eight or more rebounds. Lleyton Fried was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Central Dauphin East has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Central Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Dauphin East will square off against Chambersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Dauphin, Central Dauphin and Harrisburg will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Harrisburg is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
