Recap: Bozeman Bucks vs. Northview Chiefs

With a playoff game on the line, the Bozeman Bucks rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 37-31 victory over the Chiefs. Bozeman's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bozeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Gay, who threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 96 yards on only 13 carries. John Hanson was another key contributor, picking up 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Northview's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wyatt Scruggs, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Scruggs was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Wright v, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown.

Bozeman has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.4 points per game. As for Northview, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Bozeman will be playing in front of their home fans against Holmes County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
