Lyons posted their closest win since October 14th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Maine South Hawks. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lyons had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-15.

Leading Lyons to victory were Avery Lee and Kate Heatherly. Lee had nine digs and two aces, while Heatherly had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Lee has posted since back in September.

When it comes to explaining why Maine South lost, don't look at Emma Lesch. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and two aces. Lesch has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 22-12. As for Maine South, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-12.
