Basketball Recap: Spearfish Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Spearfish hadn't done well against Rapid City Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spearfish Spartans managed a 61-57 victory over the Rapid City Central Cobblers. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cobblers, too.

Kamren Davis had an outrageously good game as he went 8 for 11 on his way to 19 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Dylon Doren, who posted ten points and six assists.

Spearfish's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Rapid City Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Spearfish didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-47 victory against Lead-Deadwood on the 4th. Rapid City Central has also already played their next matchup, a 54-46 defeat against Stevens on the 31st.
