Volleyball Game Preview: All Saints Episcopal Trojans vs. McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs

All Saints Episcopal is 0-7 against McKinney Christian Academy since September of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, All Saints Episcopal made easy work of Bishop Gorman and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant All Saints Episcopal was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, McKinney Christian Academy got the win against Shelton on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

McKinney Christian Academy was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-20.

McKinney Christian Academy's win came from a few key players All Saints Episcopal will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tristyn Vineyard, who had nine digs and four assists. Another player making a difference was Sophia Gustovich, who had eight digs and two aces.

All Saints Episcopal picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-11. As for McKinney Christian Academy, their record now sits at 17-4.

All Saints Episcopal suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to McKinney Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
