Basketball Game Preview: Clearview Clippers vs. Keystone Wildcats

The Clearview Clippers will venture away from home to face off against the Keystone Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Clearview came up short against Fairview on Monday, falling 66-45. The defeat continues a trend for the Clippers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Keystone's undefeated season came to an end after 17 games on Monday. They took a 57-42 bruising from Padua Franciscan. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Clearview will need focus on slowing down Vivian Cassell, one of several Keystone players who made an impact when they last played. She almost dropped a double-double on nine rebounds and nine steals. Cassell has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madyson Sokolowski, who posted 12 points along with five assists and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Keystone fell to 17-1. As for Clearview, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Clearview took a serious blow against Keystone in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 76-33. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sokolowski, who almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine assists.
