Volleyball Recap: Ridgewood Victorious

Ridgewood won the last time they faced Malvern and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Generals came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1.

Ridgewood was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 12-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Anyssa Cutlip paced Ridgewood's offense, picking up 16 kills. Cutlip got some help from Karli Stickdorn and her 36 assists. Cutlip was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Malvern still got an impressive performance from Avery Sprague, who had 23 digs and two aces.

The win got Ridgewood back to even at 1-1. As for Malvern, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Ridgewood will square off against Newcomerstown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Malvern, they will face off against Indian Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
