Baseball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ithaca Little Red. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Red apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ithaca, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Homer will square off against Marcellus at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ithaca, they will take on Horseheads at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Raiders will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Little Red surely won't give up without a fight.
